"Eating is an agricultural act" - Wendell Berry
The ultimate goal of farming is not the growing of crops, but the cultivation and
perfection of human beings." - Masanobu Fukuoka
Wilsons' Farm is small-scale perfection. We raise pigs, chickens, and turkeys. We sell eggs, produce, pork and poultry. We have goats and ducks and a couple of dogs. We have a barn cat too. We write and record music. We make our own butter. We laugh a lot. We take care of the land that we are blessed to own. We get dirty. Frequently. We mop, but not as frequently.
In a nutshell, we try to celebrate living as simply as we can. We try to minimize our carbon footprint and to offset for the footprint we do leave. We appreciate the huge amount of work that is necessary to sustain daily life, and we enjoy doing it. We raise our animals humanely and our produce naturally. We love each other fiercely. This is where we live.
